Help!!! Front Panel Audio
hi, i got mobo today and i can't hook up the wires to my motherboard!!! If anyone knows anything about this, please post asap! i'm kinda desparate... okay this is what the little wires that has written on them... sets of four wires
mic-in r-in r-out gnd mic-in l-in l-out gnd now this is what the motherboard manual says... pin 1 audio mic pin 2 ground pin 3 audio mic. bias pin 4 vcc ( but i don't have a vcc!!!) pin 5 speaker out right channel pin 6 speaker out right channel return pin 7 X pin 8 NC pin 9 speaker out left channel pin 10 speaker out left channel return pin 11 ground pin 12 s/pdif in pin 13 vcc pin 14 s/pdif out how in the world am i supposed to fit these?!?!?! aahhhhh any help would b great.... thanx

Did you get the front panel audio with a sound card? If so you are supposed to connect those connectors to the sound card and not the motherboard.

sound card
no i did not get the front panel audio with a sound card.. when i say front panel audio i'm referring to that little panel in the front of the case with 2 usb ports and one mic and one head phone port... I think the wires are color coded...
i still can't figure this thing out.. i tried google by the way...

For that front panel you should plug it into the sound card directly. Some sound cards don't have spots for it though.

its built in
i have a built in audio on my mobo thats why i want to connect it to there...
