Radeon 9200
Would a Radeon 9200 128 mb 128-bit be good for watching dvds and ocasional games

depends on what kind of games. if you play pretty old games like direct x 8 or earlier, id say it would be fine but you won't be able to play the newer games.

he could play the newer games, as long as he has the latest drivers and direct x 9.0c, but hed have to lower some settings, but hell still be able to play. :P

The ATI Radeon 9200 does not have full hardware compliance to DX9...unfortunately, but it will run many of today's games just well enough. DVD's should look nice on there though.

right now im running geforce 2 MX/MX 400 and the ghames i play is the sims and Grand Theft auto and maby Sims 2, i might get a Geforce FX 5200 256mb 128-bit card

quick question, how much visual difference is there between the radeon 9200, 9600 and 9800 when it comes to watching DVDs?

The 9200 is a better card than the FX 5200 by a wide margin. The 5200 performs worse than the Radeon 9000, Ti4200, and even the GeForce 4MX in many tests.
