TV-Out Problem

Hi all,

I have a rather odd TV-Out problem. First, my rig: AMD XP 3000+, 512M PC3200, ASUS A7N8X-X mobo, Lite-On DVD+/-R, Lite-On DVD-ROM, Maxtor 120g HDD, Maxtor 60g HDD WD 30g HDD, Iomega 250 Zip, NVidia GeForce 4 MX 420, ATI TV Wonder Pro. Computer is hooked up correctly to TV and configured with NView. I can see my desktop on the TV, applications, everything, except... If I put a DVD in either drive, and fire up Power DVD 5, I do not see whatever the DVD is playing on the TV (though I see it fine on the monitor). Same thing happens if I open up ATI's Mulitmedia Center, and open the TV screen on my computer. My TV will show the desktop, but there will be a black box where the TV output should be. Everything worked fine in my old rig (components were identical except for the processor (AMD 1.2ghz) and the mobo (DFI...don't remember). Only difference is, I am using a different (upgraded) version of Power DVD. Not sure why this would affect the TV output though. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I have always had the same problem. The only "solution" I have found is to set the TV as the primary display. Then it plays on the TV but not the monitor. It is quite annoying.
