Question Attaching computer to a plasma screen

I am thinking of attaching my computer to a plasma screen TV. I figure this way I can use it for DVD's and MP's. I have ant ABIT IC7-Max3 with onboard sound and An ATI AIW 9800 that has TV In/Out etc. I thought for sound I could hook the coimputer to a Tuner/Amplifier.

Anyone tried this? I am concerned that mundane applications like, word processing and web won't be practical on a 42 inch screen.

It would work, though resolution would be probably limited the the scope of the video card...I think the Radeon 9800 Pro VPU goes quite far on resolutions, though. Given, the Plasma screen won't work as great as in a monitor with higher refresh rates and such, it should be sufficient.
