Disabling Onboard Video Card..how?

I want to know how I can install my new video card (ATI Radeon 9250 - 128mb) It's a PCI...but it seems I have to disable my current video card which is a Nivdia Aladdin TNT2...(16mb)
It's an onboard card...and i have tried going to System/Device manager and disabling it...i even tried removing it..but it still doesn't work when i plug it in the new card...
when i plug my monitor into the ATI, it shows black...and when i try to plug it into the onboard card, it's black...since the ATI is still on the motherboard...so i can only go into windows when i pull out my ATI card and plug it into the onboard...i dont know what's wrong with it....it just shows a black screen and nothing happens...I'm currently running Windows XP pro on a Pentium 3 - 800mhz...with 512 mb RAM..it looks like it can't detect my new card or something...so any help??

You need to disable onboard video in BIOS.

The motherboard manual will tell you how to get into BIOS, and where to find the option to turn the onboard video off.

Some older boards have a jumper instead of a BIOS option to turn the onboard video off. But the manual will tell you everything.

There are no tutorials about this, as it's just pressing a button, usually DEL, right after you turned the computer on, then you are in the BIOS.
And the BIOS itself, well, it is different on each one, only the motherboard manual will tell you where to go, or you just look for yourself.

If you don't have a manual, download it.
