Power Reqs on 6800 video cards.

just wondering, rustywood seems to have a heavy artifact problem and i also have artifacts when i OC my 6800GT to ultra speeds. could this be the cause of an inadequite power supply or is it rather just a cooling problem?
edit- sometimes 3Dmark03 will hang when i OC my video card too far and everything gets nonresponsive. when OCing to ultra speeds, i usually only get artifacts in one portion of 3Dmark03 (its the place during the nature thing test when it zooms in on the turtle. the turtle shell will have flickering pixels)

called the vendor i bought my card from he said he didnt think it was my power supply because the nvida cards pop up a window saying inadacuate power to the v.c and cut demand to the memory to protect the card, my artifact problem acording to them was heat i.e.lose heatsinks they also said they werent going to stock anymore till gainward fix it.

hmmm ok oh well. guess its just my card's heatsink. btw, does anybody know where to get instructions for removing and replacing a vid card heatsink? thinking of buying a copper heatsink in the future from eVGA or mabye getting some AS5 and putting it on the card not sure if it would help.

Make sure cooling is good. I bring this up many times, but compare visually the GF6800GT and GF6800U. Size of the cooling mechanism is way different.
