monitor color configuration
hey everyone,
recently i've noticed that my monitor seems to have a blue "hue" to it. At first i thought it was my eyes playing a trick on me, but now i can clearly notice it. White looks very white on my monitor, and black looks very black on my monitor, it just seems that grey menus and screens have a blue tint to it. I reset my monitor's settings (contrast brightness colors, etc) but still no change. i also tried toning down the blue in the monitor settings, and it seems to add more emphasis to green and red...i cant seem to get it to look normal. i was wondering if anyone knew any good *free* programs that are available to possibly fix this blue "hue". thanks for the help. |

Sounds like you need to degauss the monitor. There should be an option in the on-screen control settings.

Whoops, you are correct. I just assumed you were using a CRT.

Your lcd has color temperature settings, right ?
I've read that the reason for a bluish cast is that the grey color setting is too high. What happens when you adjust that ?
