No audio Blues

My audio quit working in media player and bsplayer, but worked fine in winamp. I reinstalled and updated codecs, reinstalled the sound card and reinstalled the drivers for the sound card, now i have no sound whatsoever. In the device manager it appears that the audio devices are all working properly but the sound and audio devices manager in the control panel doesn't recognize any audio devices at all.

Any Ideas?

What OS are you using? Might not narrow anything down but it may help.

Well I got the audio to work again.... but I'm still facing the same problem that got me into this audio mess. The audio works for videos and music files in Winamp and I have no audio in media player or bsplayer or Divx, up until a few days ago i could play all my video files fine in any player.

-I've reinstalled codecs, unistalled and reintalled the media players and I still can't seem to figure it out.

Any help or ideas are apreciated.

Have you downloaded all the latest drivers for all the devices on your system? If you go to Windows Update, or most people recommend going to the device(s) manufacturer's site, you can grab the latest codecs and drivers. Just re-reading your post again, it's starting to sound very much like you need to download the latest drivers/codecs. Forgive me if I'm wrong though
