PS2 Surround Sound Headphone Set-up
Hi. I'm trying to set up my Playstation 2 so I can plug in some 5.1 surround sound headphones. It seems there are headphone packages on the web that accomplish this, but I was hoping I could hook up my Zalmann 5.1 Surround Headphones that I already have. My TV does not have the correct audio jacks to plug them in however, so I would have to find another way. Is there some sort of adapter/connector I could connect directly to the PS2, and then plug the headphones into this?
Thanks for any input you guys can provide. The customer service people for the companies that sell these products are useless! |

As far as I know the PS2 does not have an onboard surround sound decoder. I do not believe it would work. You would have to have a reciever with a Dolby Digital decoder and a multichannel out or you would need something like THIS.
