Best Video Card (under $160) for a gamer

Hey guys, I searched the boards and the only recent thread is one that someone posted about the best video card for under $300. Unfortunetly I do not have that much money heh. I will be playing games such as Asheron's Call and plan on playing EQ2 when it comes out but I also do a lot of CAD work. I am putting a computer together as we speak and here is what I have so far:

AMD Athlon 64 3200 "Barton"
Asus K8N-E Deluxe
Corsair - 1 gig pc3200 memory
Maxtor 80 gig ATA 133/8mb buffer
Pioneer DVD+-RW/CDRW

So as you can see, all I need is the video card. I need to get a monitor as well so I have about $160 to spend on the video card. I was looking at the Radeon 9800 Atlantis - but I have seen some bad reviews on it, so I am asking you specialists .. what do ya think? Also, please feel free to leave feedback on the new computer setup because I am pushing the "Buy" button tomorrow or Wednesday so any advice would be nice.

I'd recommend the PowerColor Radeon 9600XT at 144 USD.

did you get the atlantis edition? that is not a true radeon 9800 pro and is a 128 bit card. you may wanna get a refund on that card. you could live with it though i suppose.

The Atlantis Edition exists as both a 128-bit and 256-bit buswidth. You should check on it before purchasing however. The Radeon 9800 (non-pro New) is the 128-bit card for the Sapphire GPUs.
