recommend dvd recorder, software?

We have some vhs home movies to convert to dvd. I've never done that, so can anyone recommend a good dvd drive and what software to use?

Thanks.

NEC 2510A, NEC 3500A, Plextor PX-716A, LiteOn SOHW-832S, LiteOn SOHW-1633S, LiteOn SOHW-1653S are all good burners. Look at their specs, and then get the one you like most.

They usually come with the necessary software to create Video DVDs. Anyway I'd get ProCoder Express for high quality encoding. And if you need to, you can get a different authoring software as well.
