Display Settings
Hey all,
I just put in a spare card that I got from my friend; Geforce 4 FX 5200 non ultra. I installed the latest drivers for the card. Every time I go into Display settings, I get a message saying Some of the configuration parameters reported by the graphics driver are invalid. Windows will ignore these settings. I used my previous card, GF2Mx400 with latest drivers, and I never got that error. Although; I can change my resolution just fine, and everyhing but I get that message every time I get into Display properties and when I hit the "settings" tab. Specs: CPU: P4 2.6Ghz 800Mhz FSB Motherboard: ASUS P4P800 Deluxe Sound Card: SB Live DVD Burner: Lite on OS: Windows 2000 Professional HD: 120GB WD 8MB BUFFER Video card: ASUS Geforce 4 FX 5200 Ultra Let me know what you guys think.. TIA |

Don't know if you need to uninstall drivers before installing the new card when you're switching between Nvidia cards... I guess the drivers might still think they're being used on the older card (do they even work like that?)
Might be an idea to uninstall all traces of the old drivers and re-install them from scratch All I can think of... |
