I've finally upgraded my system to a component TV output. I set the AIW 9700 Pro to work in extended mode so I could run 1280x720 (16x9) ratios separate from the desktop's 1024x768.
WinDVD and Media Player Classic can move to the 2nd monitor and play in full screen (WinDVD has a black area problem - see other post on this). But none of the ATI apps (DVD, File Player, TV) will even move to the 2nd monitor, let alone play there. Beyond TV 3.5 will move to the 2nd monitor but won't actually play live TV. It claims that the 2nd monitor is unable to play these signals. That may be true for the TV, but why do the ATI DVD and File Player apps fail while Media Player Classic works fine? |

For the black area thing it is a ATI setting (same one where you choose to activate the 2nd screen, but I forgot which button).
For the ATI apps, the only way I seen it not work then work was to either update the ATI apps or downgrade (older version). This is what I saw anyway. |
