directx question
need to replace the current 64mb agp nvidia 4x card in a machine i am working on. in trying to find one in the 4x 8x area i find most are not directx8 cards. so my question - if the card says 7.1 directx does this mean that when I install xp and 8x is installed that the card will not be able to handle the newer directx ???
only card in the 4x 8x downward compatible that i can find is a maddog mx440 and this is fine but compusa only has pickup on this it will not ship to me and i am to far from the nearest compusa store to go get it. |

DirectX has every function of the older version included, so it's backwards compatible.
Any graphics card will work with DirectX 9.0c (that's what comes with Windows XP SP2), so don't worry ![]() RJ
