Recording Method
Greetings,
Pardon me if this is the wrong sub-forum for this question. Is it possible to simply connect via patch cord from the speaker output on unit A to the music/soud/mic input on unit B. Or, from a stereo reciever? Thanks, Jack

Welcome to PCMech, smilinjack
![]() If you can, go from the headphones jack on the stereo to the line-in jack on the computer.

If unit A has an auxilliary output, use that. If it doesn't, the headphone jack could be used, but keep the volume low. On unit B, don't use a mic input - it's expecting a very low input range (-50dBv to -100 dBv). Use a line level (sometimes called music or tape input) input on B - the level it's expecting is either -3 dBv or 0 dBv. Dave. |
