Video Card Question ???

I just built a new computer and it is working fine, but I still have my old computer, its a P3 1ghz, 512mg ram, with a GForce2 32mg card that is 2x... my question is, if I wanted to put a better Video card in that system so my brother could play halo with me, will I have to find a VCard that is 2x or will I be able to use any AGP card that is 4x 8x?

even with its current card it plays halo with no probs, I just cant turn up the graphic settings to high...

this is the VCard I was looking at... LINK >>>>>

Any help would be great!

We need to know your specific motherboard to help you out. I think I remember seeing P3 mobo's that have AGP 4x slots, so you might be able to do a decent upgrade with your video card. The older Ti and GForce cards are 4x and would be a great upgrade. Give us the exact model of the motherboard and we can help you out.

I know its a "1st Motherboard" and was a good one when I built the computer, but how would I find out what model it is? Could I find out in the BIOS somewhere?

Cool, thanks... Everest is great!

MoBo is by FIC, and it only supports x1 x2, so I guess I will have to get a VC that works with x2... thanks for the help!
