If you have LCD screen turn on CLEARTYPE (DUH)
Boy do I feel dumb. I built my super duper computer a few months ago, bought this great samsung 213T monitor and all this time I didn't realize that I wasn't using cleartype. I thought the monitor looked pretty good as such, but now with cleartype turned on it's looks astonishing. I came to this realization while reading an A+ Cert. book.
For those who don't know how to enable cleartype, go to control panel, click on display, then appearance, then click on effects and use pull down menu to select cleartype and then notice the difference in how your flatpanel LCD looks now. I guess I won't be needing new lenses afterall

Thanks for the tip, but I have to say... My LCD text looks better with ClearType off (although it's a cheap Vison 17" LCD).
