JVC Video camera, Not playing back?

Hello,

Forgive me, i am new to this forum.

I thought i would get some help from you guys before taking it to a place that will rip me off for fixing my cam!

I have a JVC GRDX25ek Mini Dv video camera and it powers on ok, when i go to record mode, the little lcd screen shows the picture fine, and it says its recording.

The problem is, when i go to playback the recording, there is just a plain blue screen??

Also, i have tried other tapes, which were fully recorded and used to work.

Now, these tapes also show a plain blue screen. I think there may be a problem with the camera reading tapes, as everything else works ok!
