Line-in
Oh well, I've found a Line-in jack behind my comp. (soundcard) I don't know what is it for. The manual book told me that I can hook up a Walkman or something in it. What is this Line-in jack? If I can hook up my cassette player into it, can I record my cassette player songs into the computer and convert it into MP3 format? Or perhaps I can connect it to a radio and listen radio stations thru my comp? please enlighten me. Thanks.
P.S My soundcard is Creative Vibra 128 4D |

yes basicly that is what the line in jack is for, just be sure that the device you connecting to is has a line out jack, this is used for that
line out to a line in so that the audio levels will be matched correctly. |

Can I use the headphone jack on a portable cassette player and connect it to a Line-In jack? Or must I need a Line-Out jack for that? I don't see Line-Out jack in most radios probably...

really should be a line out jack
you could try the headphone jack if you turn down the vol all the way and increase it just a bit at a time to see how it does. |
