Computer not detecting TV

Hi,
I am trying to connect a TV to my Radeon 9550 graphics card using a S-video out to RCA converter. I had it working great a day ago but it will no longer even detect that a TV is connected. The TV does not have a problem with it as I can connect an Xbox to it using RCA in and it works fine. I had a TV-tuner card in my PC temporarily and I had the TV connected and working during that but I have now taken out the TV-tuner card and removed its software (but not driver, I cannot find how to remove the driver as the device is no longer in the device manager). Normally, I would go into the ATI Catalyst control centre and put the TV in clone mode with the main monitor which is connected to the VGA port. However, the TV icon does not appear in the 'Additional Displays' section of the displays manager. I have tried using System Restore to restore my computer to 2 days ago before I started having any problems. It may be the TV-tuner card (which had s-video out connection) driver conflicting with the graphics card driver, but it was working fine while the TV-tuner card was in. I am running Windows XP Home and I updated my graphics drivers about a month ago.
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
