Problem with Dark Colors on VP201s

I've been having problems lately with my new VP201s. Most dark colors that are displayed show ups a dark red or dark orange. Also, any shading shows up very rough, where it should be smooth. I've installed the drivers. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

It's running at 1600x1200 and the refresh rate is set to 60 Hertz. I've tried switching the resolution and it has the same problems.

Any ideas?

At first I was able to fix the problem by turning off the monitor and turning it back on or by restarting the computer. Now, neither of those work. Could it be a problem with the monitor?

Could this be a problem with the monitor itself or is it more likely a problem with the driver or software?

This sounds a lot like corrupted pixels on the monitor - if it were a driver problem or something with software, it probably won't give you a image output at all.

Is it really possible for all the pixels to be bad like that?

I would recommend you try differant settings , not just the resulation.
does this happen no matter what kind of picture your looking at ?

also you could run some diag test to see if anything shows up.

The problems are most noticeable on the background in games and in videos.

What kind of diagnostic tool should I use?

I tried the monitor on my laptop with the analog connection and it had the same problem, but I did not install the drivers. Could it be a problem with the drivers?

I just reformatted and reinstalled the drivers for the monitor and it's still having the same problem. Does it sound like a problem with the monitor now?
