Unless your dvd player say's it can play +or- dvdr's it's just luck
I have a dvdr dl burner and bought the blank media just to try it and it burned great and my old dvd player played them with no problems
But I see it as....If it is burned correctly and the dl break(I think its called) is at the same spot as the origanal it should not be a problem and any dvd player should read it.

You can check out www.videohelp.com and browse to their list of DVD players. From there, search for those compatible with +R DL discs. Maybe you can find what you're looking for there.

As it stands, compatibility with any dvd player is about 30%.
Verbatim +R disks seem to be slightly better than others, but it depends on YOUR player.
