Unhappy LCD Help!

well im not quite sure it goes here... well i hope the mods move it where its suppose to...

anyways. i got a strange probelm(to me) which my 15inch LCD has been doing recently. my monitor would flicker... then about a min later go black. the no signal thing doesnt come up. and if i look at an angle i can see a faint ( i mean really faint!) out line of the screen i was looking at (white background so like IE) and reseting the comp doesnt help. now until recently i usually swap the wires or replug it in by switching the cords from VGA to DVI or the other way around. i dunno if plugging both will kill my gpu (i hope not!) did that once lol. well anyways im not sure if its my monitor or my computer. i have my drivers updated and i have a pretty clean system. (some stablity issues here and there but usually invovles a game... or a graphic prog)

well better finish this before it goes black, hope some one can help.

thx in advance.
oh yeah my LCD is a ACER AL1521 15inch. got it in may last year in japan. it went thro airport sercurity in november when i came back to the US. it worked fine till like janurauy.

Do you have access to another comp so that you could try the monitor on it? Figure out whether it's a monitor problem or something in your box causing the trouble...

Remember that from Japan, you will need a voltage converter - Japan uses a 100v system while the United States uses a 115v system. Get yourself a step down converter to keep the monitor from getting too much voltage. And also, just as a precautionary measure, monitor your graphics card to be sure it's not overheating or causing visual hammock.

Hammock is more of a saying a guy I know used to use - visual disturbance, misbehaving, etc. As for the monitor, you may want to do as Kov-Ice suggested - test it on another system - that way, we can isolate the problem.

well now ever since my last post i tried all the stuff out. i replaced the graphic card... same thing happens... now i try it on another comp same thing ahppens. now this is more serious. i cant even get it to finish the ACER logo when i turn on. it used to say No Signal after i turn it on (my comp is off) but now it cuts off at the logo. my friend says its the imput part but i dont think imput would do this. can i get my monitor looked at and fixed or am i looking at buying another one? (i missed my chance to get this nice 15inch lcd for 180 with 3yr warrenty... ) and if any one can tell me whats wrong it would help if i take it to a expert (most likely computer stop, www.computerstop.com or another place i can take it is www.compucare.com they are both reliable, good place to buy parts).

anyhelp is aprreciated. ty!

*rushing to finish this...
