Question Audio & TV Video not in sync

My dilemma ... Windows XP Pro, Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS with external controls and ATI TV Wonder Pro. I get good video and clear audio. The ONLY problem is that the sound is delayed slightly (~ 1 second or less). I have updated drivers for ATI and Creative. ATI technical support is close to worthless (they indicated I may need to try another OS) and Creative has been moderately helpful. I have searched the web and not able to find any solutions that work.

Would appreciate ANY guidance or help. Thanks in advance ...

What codec are you using for capture?

It would be somewhere in the capture settings - i.e...mpeg2, avi, divx... There should be something telling you how your video is being compressed.

I believe I may have solved the problem. I connected the TV Tuner card and the sound card internally. The external connection was removed. When I did that, the sound and video were in sync. Not sure why that worked because I did not change any other settings nor drivers.

Since I am learning, any thoughts would be appreciated. Otherwise I'll keep my fingers crossed and move on ...

Thanks for all the help.

It was probably a latency issue. Basically meaning a delay between two events (correct me if im wrong! ), perhaps the audio input on the internal connector had a lower latency than the external connection, or perhaps the same thing except with the TV Tuner board. Anyway, if it works, it works!
