Hi,
I have an ATI 8500LE video card, and considering to buy an ATI 9500 card, will performance on directx9 games will improve? I am just looking to have a better card for directx9 games or I should buy a better card since I can't buy a new motherboard or cpu right now. My system specs are: Amd Athlon XP 3000+ Seagate 120 GB 7200 RPM HDD Hercules 5.1 sound card Antec 350 PSW 512 MB XMS corsair memory Any help appreciated.

i think it should because a 9500 is, IIRC, a hardware DX9 card as opposed to the 8500 which used software to emulate the DX9 features not availible on the card
if you have some more money to spare, a 9600Pro or XT would be an excellent buy

The best option would be a Radeon 9500 Pro instead of a Radeon 9500 - either way, you will get a far more truer DX9 performance.
