Burned CD Skips On One CD Player but Plays Perfectly On Others
I'm using RiData CD blanks and burning music in the CD player format on them with Nero 6.6.0.3. The music I've burned plays perfectly on my CD player and it plays perfectly on my friends' CD player but it skips badly on another friends' CD player. I told that friend that the problem has to do with his CD player because why would that same CD play perfectly on my CD player and another friends CD player but not his. He says that all his other CDs that he has bought play perfectly and that it is only the one I burned that skips so it must be that I am doing something wrong on the burning. I don't think so.
Does anyone know the answer to this puzzle? I thought I read something once about that the laser lights of some older model CD players were not wide enough to cover burned CD data or something like that |

Just depends on the player. Definitely, older players can experience difficulty reading certain types and brands of media.

I have experienced similar problems with burnt CDs on certain players all the time. For one thing, alot of old CD players don't even support CD-Rs or CD-RWs. If they do, however, and it skips, it is usually because the player is old and has difficulty reading the format.
I don't know if this is justified, but I find that burnt CDs work best in computers and car stereos. |
