soundcard help

I just got a chaintech av710 card and I had a couple of questions. First how in the world do you use this digital spidf cable? There is just a cap like thing on the soundcard that does not even look like a plug. Also I dont think it can be hardware accelerated or something so I cant get 4 speakers to work with it. How can i accomplish this?

SPDIF is a fiber optic connection that would connect to external computer speakers or audio amp that had a SPDIF connection. Check the manual for instructions on how to connect for surround sound. There should be some software settings and specfic cable connections for surround sound verses standard stereo.
