3rd party sound card vs onboard?

Hey everyone. Built new system and rinnin smooth. Its the one in my sig. I cant decide if i should buy the sound blaster audigy2 ZS or stick with msi k8n neo4 platinum ultra onboard sound? I have logitech x530 5.1 sound. Is the sound card worth the xtra expense? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'd say you would probably hear a difference. I sure did but my motherboard is older and probably has worse onboard sound than yours. If it were me I would definetly buy a soundcard. In my opinion nothing sounds as good as a (good quality) dedicated sound card.
