LCD question

I was wondering if you guys could check out this monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...179-014&depa=0

I checked Tom's hardware and the review was excellent, and I have yet to find anything to deter me from buying it. Could you see if this looks like an excellent graduation present purchase?

If this isn't the best choice for the price range of these types of LCDs, could you recommend a better one?

I don't see where you could get a substantially better 19" LCD in that price range. My only concern is Hyundai's long term reliability, we had a bunch of their CRT's about 10 years ago and they were crap. Looked great while they worked, but they didn't last. Heck - Hyundai's cars were garbage 10 years ago, but their new ones have some of the best reliability records around, so things do change.

I just received my Hyudai L90D+ a few days ago. I couldn't be happier! I have done a lot of research and post reading and this is the one I settled on. I originally bought the Acer 1912b and had several dead pixels and ghosting with games. Then I thought I'd try the Viewsonic CRT. I hated it after trying the LCD. With the Hyundai I have a much clearer, crisper image and really have no ghosting problems at all with HL2. The Hyundai has an 8ms Samsung panel and I received it with no dead pixels! Some have complained about viewing angles on it but I think it's fine. There may be some graininess with watching DVDs but that's not what I want it for and I haven't yet tried the DVI nor have I compared it with my old CRT yet. Also some have complained about the display buttons but I think they're fine-how often do you mess around with them anyway? Something else to keep in mind with LCDs is that you need to run them in their native resolutions for the best picture quality(1280x1024)for this 19". I hope this helps! (My reported complaints came off Neweggs reviews).
