I have a GeForce FX 5700LE and ive heard that you can change a 5900 into a 5900ultra and i was wondering if it was safe to do it to my card and if i have to get the bios from the same manufacturer. if you could help me that would be great.
p.s. i also need to know what to do and what apps to use for it |

your card wont flash to a 5900 series card. for one, the memory on your card is only 128-bit memory, whereas true 5900s have 256-bit. another thing is your GPU has only 4 pixel pipelines, whereas the 5900 has 8. 5900XTs can be flashed to 5950 Ultras, but the 5700 series cards will not flash. now if your card shared the above mentioned specs with a 5900, a flash would be a possible option.
