How come my monitor display is so...odd shaped.

I have it on 1280x1024 and the sides are angled a bit and I tried chanign the pincussion, pinbalance and trapezoid but it doesn't make it really straight sided. Is there a way I can calibrate it so that everything comes out nice and straight? I have a 19 inch kds flat screen crt monitor and a radeon 9800 pro graphics card.

Generally, if you can't adjust out distortions on a CRT, the monitor is going south.
