Question Help please - B&W TV output problem :(

Hi all,

Just bought a new gfx card (ASUS 6600gt TOP) and hooked it up to my TV (Samsung - dunno model but about 6yrs old) and the signal is only coming through black and white

I've tried using different cables, using a different socket (the TV has scart and composite inputs) and plugging it into my VCRs scart input but all these give the same results. I've gone through all the settings and made sure that I'm using the correct region (I/PAL) and even bought a new cable especially for the job (s-vhs to scart). I've now run out of ideas.

The only things I can think of are -

1. The TV is too old to accept the signal properly or something like that. Don't think that's the case though as my old card (Leadtek 5600) worked fine on tv-out and the video (which is newer) is doing the same.

2. Using the wrong cables. Again this seems unlikely as I've tried several different cables and different inputs (scart/composite)

3. I have a bad card - waaaah, i hope not. It would seem a little weird that this is the only prob i'm having if it's a duff card.

Can anyone throw some light on this dilemma PLEEEEAAASEE!

Many thanks to anyone who can help.
