New Here. Need help on Brand of VC?
Hello ALL. New here. Need some help picking a Brand of Video Card.
My system is in process of being built. Gigabyte GAK8NS Mobo 3Gb Crucial Tech PC3200 ram Sony DVD Rom, FD Creative Audigy 2 ZS SC Creative Modem (Cant remember the model#) Antec Overture II case Still need a CPU, HD(WD Raptor) and a VC. Heres my choices. All are 6800GT. All at NewEgg.Com 1st: Albatron with 256MB ram $269 + free ship 2nd: Asus with 128MB ram $272 + Tax, Ship 3rd: Aopen 256MB $276 + tax, Ship BO till 8/12? Just need some advice on Brands mainly. cards are essentially same. I am leaning on the Albatron due to Price. But Asus was reccomended to me by a couple of guys on EscapeCentral forum. Thanks all. Of the three you listed, I'd go with the ASUS.
But given the choice I'd get a eVGA instead. Cricket

Thanks. Was told that EVGA used "Cheap" parts by the guys on EscapeCentral site.

eVGA is one of the main Nvidia manufacturers. They make the Nvidia reference cards. They are very good quality.

Thanks all. I decided to go with the Albatron. Seems like I am getting the most for the money. now I just hope it fits inside my Antec Overture II case.
Last night, I ordered a set of Monster Cables to hook to my TV and HT Stereo. The IP400 and Monster Video 3 cables. NewEgg.Com again. Free ship. Chris |
