tuner card doesn't seem to work.
jsut got my tuner card and installed everything but when i scan the channels i get nothing, cant even play video games thru the composite input. any ideas?
EDIT: the card is a hauppage win TV-pvr 150 i am most likely sending it back to newegg. one of the little grey cylinder-type things that stick up off the board was broken off partially--it allowed me to install the software, etc, as it recognized the card, but once i pulled it out to take a look i noticed that this one was at a weird angle becuase one of the soldered portions was broken off.

Yep, broken capacitor.
Get it replaced.

Makes me angry....gunna cost me at least $10 to UPS it back to newegg. UPS prices are pretty rediculous these days.

You have 30 days from the purchase date to get it to newegg. After that, you have to RMA it to the card manufacturer.

ok either way is fine i guess. as long as i get back a working card. ill have to ask my dad for the info as he's the one who ordered it. shouldnt be a problem, he files everything like that with order numbers, etc. If its past 30 days (it isnt yet i know for sure) then i can go to manufacturer...worst comes to worst i solder it back on.
