Should I keep the ATI Radeon X850PRO I just bought?
I just bought an ATI Radeon X850PRO. It was on sale at B*stB*y. I am not a big gamer, maybe a few times a month, but I want really good quality video. I am working on my first build, with MCE2005, and it will go out to a new flat screen tv I am buying just for this. So I would like good vid quality. I saw this card and thought it would be suffecient. I don't plan on upgrading for a few years, so I thought this card would hold me over. Is this overkill or does anyone think I should stick with this card?

an X800 or X700pro would have been fine. Can you return it to best buy? If you want to use it a couple years it might be best to keep it.

If it was OK with your budget, then keep it. It'll be good for the couple year you suggest. Whether it's overkill really depends on you. Being even just a part time gamer, it sure is a drag not seeing all the eye candy when you do play. It also seems to be a good match for the rest of your system.

Couldn'tve said it better. Even if you only play games once and a while, you'll be satsified when you do play, plus it goes in line with your system.
