ATI X850 CrossFire Edition now available!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102611

Well, I guess this means its finally here.

But are there any mobos that support it yet?

You need atleast one card that is a CrossFire Edition, and then any other X8xx GPU right?

I wonder if they will come out with CrossFire Editions of other popular GPU's. Like X800xl or X850xt.

You would need another card from the same series, though I think you need the top of the series card, otherwise the CF Edition card will downclock to match the slower card.

There's only going to be one Crossfire edition card per series. So I think there eventually will be a:

X800 CrossFire Edition
X850 CrossFire Edition
X1300 CrossFire Edition
X1600 CrossFire Edition
X1800 CrossFire Edition

Newegg was advertising a Crossfire motherboard by DFI, but it wasn't listed yet for sale.

Click on the DFI motherboard at the bottom it tells you this item has been deactivated or something :/
