Sometimes I get horrible graphics in GWs
I was playing a mission on guildwars today and one set of the mission was great... playing with the computer in my sig... then all of a sudden the load on my cards went from full to nothing and I lagged like no other. This shouldnt happen b/c of my computer which is much more powerfull than the minimum requierments for GW... Could it have been a poor map load? I had it on AA x2 and filtering at high; but still my cards should have handled that since I do AF and AA on full with Battle Field 2. This was the second time I have noticed this performace in GW, no other game so far (knock on wood). I am positive this is not over heating, but to make sure I put on my AC and i have a case fan aimed right at my cards...
All the eye candy is not too important to me, but I am pretty mad at why this happened.... Any other Ideas? PS I am using the latest Nvidia Drivers which support SLI, and I was not overclocking...

I think I figured it out... My NVIDIA settings had been left on AA 4x while my in game settings were AA x2. There might have been conflict or double Antiailasing going on, I am not sure. But, I moved it application controled and have been playing fine since. It might have also been a poor map. As for patches go...I will head on over and check. First I wanna rule out a virus or malware so I will do some scans and what not; that could have been the problem too. |
