video problem
Hi.
I recently reformat my hard drive and after a week my computer wont boot the OS(xp). I did a restart and OS loaded successfully. But strange thing happened, there are vertical lines on my monitor that I cant take it anymore. I thought it was OS problem so I reloaded xp. I managed to reload xp successfully but I'm still getting same problem. I tried using different OS(98) but it didn't work as well. I've tried updating my video card's driver...same problem. Is it a problem of my video card(Inno3d geforce2 mx200)? Or my MB maybe? Please help. Thanks... |

You've established that it's not the OS and, unless that's an integrated graphics card, it's not the motherboard (Or did you mean monitor?).
Try your video card in a friend's computer or if you have a friend with a card that will work with your computer swap in that (remember about switiching drivers if necessary).

could it perhaps be your monitor?
couldent hurt to try that monitor on a different computer or a different monitor on your computer. process of elimination is the key to finding answers!
