6800OC vs 6600GT who do you choose?
I have a 6600gt and my friend has a 6800oc.
He just built a Sli rig and I was wondering if I should try to get the 6800oc from him... Both are AGP. Both 128 6800oc is a BFG and 6600gt is a XFX. He says he will sell/trade it with me + the difference in original cost about $60 (he is giving the rig away to family) So i Guess it comes down to this... Is the upgrade worth $60?

Would he let your pop it in a run a quick benchmark on it to see if it is really worth the 60$?

I would just try to compare it to the 600gt you have now, if it scores like 15% or better in 3D Mark 05 or I would say it is a good deal for 60$.

The BFG 6800 is a nice card. It will outperform the 6600GT, because it has more pixel pipelines. Alot of 6800s can be unlocked to 16 pipelines and 6 vertex shaders via Riva Tuner. They may be close in frames per second, but the higher amount of pixel pipelines will allow you to crank up the eyecandy with the 6800.

Im sorry, fud, I read the question wrong. I misread it as he was selling the card for $60. If his card was that cheap, Id say go for it. But your card plus $60 is kind of high, considering newegg sells them for $170. Your card is probably around $150 new, so it wouldnt be a fair trade. Your card plus $20 would be better.
