X-Fi sound card problems
i've read recently that on some of newegg's customer reviews about the X-Fi sound card (the one going for 117.50 US dollars) that some say that nvidias newest chipset, the nForce 4, doesnt get along with that sound card.
I've also heard some say that if you arent playing the latest games, then this card is good, meaning something must be wrong with this card and the latest games. I dont know what some people are saying because of this, because maximumpc just rated this sound card the best in 2005 in the december issue. So, if someone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance. |

There are some issues with the X-Fi and nForce4, but its more hit or miss. Creative is working on a new driver that has better nForce4 support. As far as games are concerned, I havent had any trouble with any of them. BF2, Quake 4, FEAR, etc....they all run great on my system.

I had trouble with the Audigy 4, and it's a very similar card, I have to say I'm not impressed with Creative lately
