Vid Card Upgrade Question...

Hey all & Happy Holidays!

Okay, I currently have a Radeon 9600SE 128MB vid card.

I'm looking at a Geforce FX 5900SE 128MB.

Would this be a significant enough upgrade for me to bother?

BTW... I can probably get an amazing deal on the FX... under $50!

Thanks!

The card is good, and it is noticably better in performance.

Tom's Hardware did a benchmarking on those cards and others. The 5900SE is the 5900XT. However, this was almost 3 years ago, so it's kinda outdated. Also, do you really want to buy this card while u can save up for a better one, or perhaps a new motherboard, and GPU?
