surround sound software?
well i just got my new set of 5.1 speakers the logitechs x-530 and the soung great the bad thing is that im not getting surround from my card so i will go with a SB live or audigy the question is can Windows Media PLayer 10 play surround sound and also what software do u use to play surround with your mp3's??

Have you checked your sound settings in control panel. get to the 'Sounds and Audio Devices' settings. Under the speaker settings section (bottom part of the window), hit advanced. Then select the 5.1 setting, then hit OK for all the windows, then try to play some audio.

i di what u sed and it sounds a bit better, what can do to see if im getting surround? does the quality changes or what?

Run a white noise speaker test and see if each speaker is working correctly. If they are, then you have to play something that was recorded in Surround Sound. Music CD's aren't SS while many movies and games are.
