normal vga core temperatures

Hey i was just wondering what a good temperature was for your vga card. I was wondering this because mine is running at 50c and during full load (ex: cod2 all settings maxed out) runs up to 70c. Is this bad? If so, what should i do.

Those are fine temps. GPUs tend to (and can safely) run pretty hot.

EDIT: My X800XL runs at 45C idle and 65C under a load - but I do have a fan jerry rigged underneath of it.

ooh and by the way its an x800xl oc'd to 405 core and 515 memory.

Edit: im thinkin on just spending 36 bucks on the artic cooling unit. I mean it probably worth the investment.

Edit2: lol. The card usually runs around 43-45c idle and around 65-70c full load (cod2 maxed out graphics)

My 6600GT runs around 45 C and the default threshold for clocking down is 127 C! That tells me it's designed to get pretty damn hot.
