Multimedia Audio Controller
Just finished doing a fresh WinXP Pro install.
System Dell Inspiron 8600 Problem Multimedia Audio Controller driver will not load. Loaded "Sigmatel Stac 9750 AC97 REV. A12" drivers but will not install when hardware is recognized. Solution ? |

Are you using the Dell resource CD or a download? Either way, you have to read the how to install instructions.

I loaded the drivers for Sigmatel Stac 9750 AC97 REV. A12 from the Dell's resource CD.

Try the downloaded drivers - the current ones at support.dell.com are A15. Follow the install instructions to the letter.
