Looking to purchase new Monitor
Can someone please explain what ms stands for on a lcd monitor, some have 16 ms some have 10 or 8ms response time. What is better and why ?

The faster the response time (in milliseconds), the quicker the pixels can go from on to off. A faster response time will allow colors to show more quickly.

8 ms is good my brother has a viewsonic 19" with 8ms respond time works great for gaming so it will probably be plenty fast enough for everything else
