Min PSU reqs for Graphics Card
Hello everyone!
Looks like I'll be getting a new monitor in the next few months as a graduation gift. I'm here looking for any configuration problems and to find out if my PSU is strong enough to handle the new hardware. New monitor (hopefully  ): Gateway FPD2185W 21" Widescreen High-Definition LCD Flat-Panel DisplayPossible Graphics Card: eVGA Geforce 7800GT Possible Mobo (combo with card): eVGA 133-K8-NF41 Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI Current hardware: EPoX EP-9NDA3+ Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce3 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard Onboard Nforce LAN Onboard AC97 audio AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Venice 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Processor Kingston ValueRAM 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-430 ATX12V 430W Power Supply ASUS 9600XT 128mb Video Card 80GB Maxtor HDD Samsung CD-RW drive Windows XP Pro The graphics card recommends a minimum of 450W PSU. Will I be able to sneak passed with a 430W?

Probably, that's a high quality power supply. It has 17 amps on each +12v rail so it should be fine.

Yeah it should be fine, however you won't be able to take advantage of SLI though. It wouldn't be enough for dual cards (you'd need a SLI-Certified power supply for that)...either don't use SLI on that board or look at a single video card motherboard.
