Radeon 9250 Install
I got this card recently, and am trying to install it on my system, but when it comes to installing the ati software, I get the error message "setup was unable to complete. Try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup". Also, my computer appears to have gone into a sort of safe mode.
I currently have onboard SIS audio/video. looked in the bios and the primary graphics adapter can only be changed between onboard agp and pci, if this is relevant. My system is Windows Me, 1GHz Duron, 256MB. Any help at all would be much appreciated. |

Did you try removing the onboard video adapter's drivers, and removing the adapter from Device Manager before installing the new card's drivers?
Also, check your computer's or MB's documentation to see if there's a MB jumper that's used to disable the onboard video adapter. |
