hey everyone,
Alright, I have a quick question regarding graphics cards. I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card as I have an old ATI X300... the rest of my specs are fine: 3.4 GHz, 1 gig of ram, 120 gig hard drive. So I have been doing some research, mostly on ATI cards and I thought that the ATI X1300 looks nice and has a good price point. If anyone has some suggestions on other cards, I'm cool with that. The only thing is that I definatly want a PCI-E card and not an AGP, and I don't want t spend tons of money. thank you! |

I don't think a x1300 will perform significantly better than a x300. What is your max budget in $CDN?

I have a PCI-E slot already, I'll spend 300 CDN.
why would the X1300 not perform better? |

USAdidas, I'd say don't provide links to US sites with prices in US dollars when the request is from a Canadian.
I concur with that 6800GS if your reason for upgrading is to improve game performance. There would be NO other reason to upgrade from a X300 otherwise, that cheap card can do everything else just fine. You WILL need a proper power supply to power that 6800GS, it eats considerably more juice than a X300. |
