help me sound is acting ghey
i was trying to install my new video card. http://forums.extremeoverclocking.co...d.php?t=214186 it wasn't working and i kept shutting down wrong. i guess something got messed up when i put back my old card the sound wasn't working so i reformated. now the new video card works and now the sound still doesn't work.
amd 64 3700 i think its clawhammer its slot 754 thermaltake 430w power supply 1.5gb of cosair value ram the mobo is gigabyte k8triton the model is ga-k8u liteon dvd burner video card is msi 7800gs does anyone think theres something that can fix it? this happened before with my ethernet port >> screenshot of when i put my headset in http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...rrrrrrrrrr.jpg i tried other headsets also |

Make sure that the drivers for the MB's chipset and the onboard sound adapter(if applicable) were reinstalled, the onboard sound adapter is enabled in BIOS, and there's no problem with the sound adapter in Device Manager.
If those are ok, then the sound adapter may be bad. Install a PCI sound card. If it works ok, then the onboard sound adapter has died. Also, if you have future problems with the ethernet port, then the onboard ehternet controller may be bad. install a PCI network card to replace it. |
