recommend some video cards please :)

Hey everyone. I'd like to know your opinons as to what video card I should buy. right now I have an ATI all in wonder 9800, but I need a card that has two outputs. I do a lot of video editing, and I'm going to be doing audio editing too, so I'd like to use two monitors which will make the multiple program windows i use easier to work with.
Any particular video card that will be good enough for the video editing, AND support two monitors? I dont know if u need my system specs, I forget the model motherboard I bought right now, (i'm not at home) I know it was an Asus, and i have a pentium IV 2.6 processor, two seagate hard drives (80gb, and 260 gb) Antec 350w power supply. Anything more info needed let me know.

What are the Inputs on your Monitors? DVI or VGA?

How much are you willing to spend?

Does the card need to be PCI-Express or AGP?

hmm, i guess I could spend between 2-300. They're VGA, but I have DVI adapters, and should be AGP

Are you going to be gaming? There's no sense in spending $300 if you aren't going to game with it.

nope no gaming. just video/audio editing. I'll have it connected to the internet for downloading updates and some surfing, but mostly just an editing machine.

Nevermind, that has a funky looking multi-out dongle with two VGA outs.

just trying one more time. I haven't had internet access, but if someone with more experience could please recommend a card to me based on these needs I'd appreciate it. Again... not going to really gaming on it, just video/audio editing, so need something to support dual monitors. Thanks!

What's wrong with the all-in-wonder I suggested? You still need video capture ability, right? That's the best way to get it without a separate capture card. If all you need is a dual head video card, there are TONS of them out there, just pick one in your budget.

oh right. Sorry, the last time I just scanned through all the posts, and I thought your post recommending the new all in wonder and blue60007's post right underneath was posted by the same person. I thought u were saying nevermind on that card. Yeah I'll have to do more research, the only reason I posted on here was because i thought maybe someone had experience with video editing or something and would be able to recommend something specificc, but thanks!

Essentially, like glc said, look for a card with two outputs within your price range. Video editing, which you want to do, is most dependent on the processor (in addition to the quality of the software you are using).

I did recommend something specific. It comes with an input block to connect just about anything to it, and an output dongle that does have 2 VGA jacks. It's a true video in/video out (VIVO) card with a TV tuner and dual VGA head. If you ever need to input analog video for editing, you need VIVO.
